Today marks 5 weeks of cancellation of my cruise (self) ..No refund in sight though the promise at that time was 7 to 14 days. I have my tempy credits from credit card company.

Well that shows you what kind of a company NCL is.....And it has already been shown / proven many times, NCL are bold faced liars!!

I tried to file a dispute with my credit card, but they won't allow it since it has been over 60 days. Can't even file a BBB complaint against them, as they are not a US based company....which is how they get away with all their "games", from paying employees peanuts, to ripping their customers off on a regular basis ( and getting away with it)!!

@mano2020 Agree. Never in my 32 years of traveling did I have to go through so much delay for a refund. People may argue the pandemic situation but I got full refund within 5 days from Fiji airways, Air France, Airbnb, tour companies in Russia and Fiji, Taj Mahal hotel in Mumbai(India), Delta airlines for my trips to Fiji and India which was spread from April to end of June.

If these companies can process full refund to CC why cannot NCL?

Also AMEX let me dispute the over than 60 days charge. You were supposed to receive a service in June 2020 even though you paid many months before. Let them know that and they will open a dispute for over 60 days charges.

Cancelled water package and service charges 3/5. Said 7 to 10 days. Still nothing. And when I called them they said it was processing. Supposed to go 5/17 from Bermuda to ny. Waiting for a cancellation because I’ve never cruised before. This would have been my first and I’m turned off now. Dont have any interest in cruising now. Maybe in a few years. Don’t want a credit at this point

dont be discouraged. Nothing wrong with cruising. I have been on Disney and Carnival and they are much better than NCL. This would also be my first and last NCL interaction.

This would have been my 2nd cruise...Went last year on the NCL Escape and was hooked, but after this experience, IF I ever do cruise again, it won't be with NCL.

And I can't help but HOPE all this comes out to the public, because how many more people are putting deposits down right now that have no idea what crooks NCL are!

And this pandemic may go on for a considerable amount of time...If so, we may never see refunds!!

I will probably ragain down the road. Moving to Florida by Tampa in 3 years so maybe I’ll try it from down there. Wasn’t thrilled with going out of NYC anyway. I doubt I’ll go with NCL at this point. I know they’re all taking awhile to refund but I’m left with a bad taste in my mouth from all this

That’s my biggest fear ! This was supposed to be a college graduation gift and our first cruise. Instead this has been such stress waiting and waiting. Hoping we all get our refunds

while i certainly agree that they are not the most user friendly company, having looked at other cruise lines, for the itineraries and the price per cabin, i think you get  the most bang for your buck. my wife gets 10% off per cabin through casinos at sea and thru cesars entertainment. we cancelled the march 14th cruise from santiago (although it was ultimately cancelled anyway) but i have just book the 18 day cruise on the dawn sailing dec 1st from rome.  2 of the ports are istanbul and haifa.  i have always wanted to see israel. i booked the family suite and for 118 days with the butler and the other goodies, i couldnt think of a better deal.

sine i dont expect much from norwegian, im happy to get my cabin and see the sights. by the way we've atken almost 20 cruises on norwegian, and other than an aft suite on the epic, i really dont have much to complain about.

little things to grumble about, but generally leadme to my cabin, give me the free booze and meals, and im happy.  at a port i usually hire a taxi for the same shore excursions offered on board for usually a much cheaper price, and the driver goes where i want to go

Its funny that people keep bringing up the BBB.  Does anyone actually know what the BBB is?  They are the original Yelp.  That is all they are.  They have zero oversight over companies.

Also, they get all the revenue from harassing companies to join their membership.  If you are a member and receive a complaint, you can ask them to take it down.  If you are not a member, they will call you to let you know you have a complaint and they will take it down if you sign up for their membership.

Don't know what Disney's policy is because they are not releasing it to the public but Carnival is also 90 days.  You can read through this thread to see how people are handling it.

Im still waiting on my Prepaid Service Charges (gratuities) to be refunded to credit card still nothing, is been 1 month 😠

Hi, I talked to my PCC yesterday, after one month of waiting for mine. She said ALL refunds, regardless of when you asked for them are in the same pile with all of the refunds from the NCL cancelled cruises. Then she said "Could take up to 90 days." 😶

Disgusting. I had cancelled before they changed that refund rule and I was supposed to get refund 7 to 14 days...

I canceled thermal spa passes, beverage package and dining package almost over a month ago. I was told I would have refunds within 7 to 10 business days. That didn't happen. I've called numerous times and received a major runaround every time. Last time I spoke to them, about a week ago, they said all refunds are taking 90 days. Ridiculous.

NCL cancelled my cruise that was scheduled for 3/21 on 3/13. I filled out a form on 3/13 saying I wanted the cash back option. I still have not received my refund.

I paid for the cruise on 2/14, so my 60 day window for a charge back was closing so I decided to fill out the chargeback on my banks website just in case.

I don't mind waiting the 90 days if I know for sure I'm getting the refund, but wanted insurance with my bank in case it doesn't go through.

I cancelled on March 10th a cruise that was supposed to sail May 21st.  WE bartered a 20% penalty rather than full penalty. I was told 7 to 10 business days. Still nothing. Still waiting. Should be around $7200.

It seems like they should give you as full refund under the circumstances, at minimum a full FCC offer. They ultimately cancelled for the same reasons you did, the pandemic...but honestly I think we'll all be lucky to see any money, ever.

NCL has done a fine job of making themselves look terrible in the eyes of their customers, IMHO.
