Zaandam vs Amsterdam which one?

Do you have a preference for the Zaandam or the Amsterdam?

 

We are looking at rebooking a cruise for next year.

I would happily sail on either one if it was an itinerary I wanted to take. 
If they were doing the same itinerary, I would choose based on the date I wanted. 

Otherwise, all else being equal, flipping a coin would work.

They are both the same itinerary and same date.  One is cruising one way and the other ship the other way.

Have sailed on both ships.  Not much different in the 2 ships.  I just find the Amsterdam a little more classic and beautiful.

Having sailed many times on both ships, KK's post above is fully on target.  Given a tie, I would opt for Amsterdam as it is indeed a little more cozy.

That is true.  The AMSTERDAM is the Classiest ship of all.   However, they are both good ships and I would take either one in a Heartbeat if I was doing  the St. Lawrence.

We’ve been on the Zaandam and were scheduled for the Amsterdam on 5/26 for 11 nights. My husband and I love small ships and would echo the sentiment that either would make us happy!

Notwithstanding today's news about Zaandam's flu problem, my choice would be Zaandam ... although, in all fairness, I must admit that I've never sailed on Amsterdam.
