Tahiti travel after April 11th?

I realize this is asking for pure speculation, but does anyone have an inkling about whether the FP travel ban will be continued by the government after April 11th?  I believe that is the date they will reconsider the ban.  Have NCL booked departing the 17th and I believe that is what they are waiting for.  The ship is in Hawaii with a broken prop at the present time which is a report form those recently on the ship.

There is likelihood that no flights will be going into Tahiti until after May 1st except for flights carrying locals only.

OP, It's not clear if the cruise you are asking about embarks in FP or Hawaii. If it's FP, there is no feasible way for passengers to get to Tahiti in April.

 

ATN has cancelled ALL flights to/from Tahiti until at least May 1, as stated on their web site.

Effective from March 28th, through April 30, 2020 Air Tahiti Nui presently does not have any flights planned to operate. Normal flight operations are set to resume from May 1^st.

 

If your ship is planning a port call, note that FP is under a temporary shelter at home lockdown. This might end before April 17, but obviously can be extended if the conditions require that. Here is the FP gov website notice about the stay at home order.

 Maybe things will be better in 3 weeks. But this seems exceedingly optimistic.
