Casino Free Play???

Hello. 
 

I was in my account for Princess and I saw that I had a line item under the onboard credits section for $50 in free play in the casino. It says I have to book by 6/17/20 and sail by 5/3/21. I already have a cruise rebooked but it’s for July 2021. Yes, I have played in the casino but not a lot. I had recently made my July 2021 booking from my Goodwill credits from our 4/4/20 cancelled sailing option 1 and just had the refunded taxes and port fees applied for the deposit.  (in case anyone wanted to know)
This has brought up a few questions that have circled in my mind based on older threads. 

Would I be allowed to have the credits extended and attached to my current booking? Should I speak with my PVP or email the casino with my booking number? 

Does it only apply to new bookings? I 

 

I never received any email with regard to this and I checked junk mail as well. Is this just free play or is there a ‘Casino Offer’ with a cruise?

Thank you to everyone who takes time out of their day to respond. At the end of the day I would never cancel the cruise my family and I have been looking forward to just to get $50 and then give it right back; and then some. But $50 on my current booking would be nice.

Call and ask. That's your best bet. If you booked with a TA call the TA and ask if the casino credit can be applied to your cruise. If you booked directly with Princess then call Princess.

I have seen this before and tried to have it applied to an existing booked cruise and they refused.  Was told I needed to make a new booking.

With the current situation you may be able to have the time extended. We have $1,600 in free play that was supposed to be used on a May cruise. Was told it could be applied to an August cruise which is now also canceled. I have hopes to get it applied to a cruise already booked for April 2021. Your PVP cannot help you will need to go through the casino department. At least that is what I have always done
