FiremedicMike151 Posted June 21, 2020 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2020 Assuming I’ll get the news Monday that my August cruise is done, I’m looking to the next cruise and was wondering about the December/January weather in the Bahamas? We’ve cruised in November twice, one time it was warm the whole trip, one time it was quite cold on the final day back into port.. We prefer to be warm, should we just wait until spring? Earthworm Jim Posted June 21, 2020 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2020 Using Nassau as an example, the average daily high in early December is 80, dropping down to an average high of 77 by late January. Which might vary by a few degrees even on a typical day, and more than a few degrees on an atypical day. That's reasonably warm, but if it was a breezy day in the mid-70s it might not feel quite warm enough for swimming. https://weather.com/weather/monthly/l/2de5e04306fedaddc95277d99edf6cb7da5d80a3a77b01ccbd5074db1eb06023 Water temps might range from as high as 78 to as low as 72, according to this: https://www.bahamas.com/faq/average-water-temps
bury me at sea Posted June 21, 2020 #3 Share Posted June 21, 2020 No guarantees about weather anywhere, but chances of warmer weather are probably better in the Caribbean.
Rare mskaufman Posted June 22, 2020 #4 Share Posted June 22, 2020 We were in the Bahamas in December 2017 and 2019. Both times we had some nice beach days but the water was a little chilly for my taste. Others, especially kids, had no problem going in.
Vonnah Posted July 6, 2020 #5 Share Posted July 6, 2020 (edited) We were there at the beginning of February and went to the Zoo and Gardens. The weather was beautiful. We heard that the ocean water was chilly so we opted to do something else. Edited July 6, 2020 by Vonnah Wrong word
