I had casino offer of drinks on us all over ship on my last cruise. We were able to purchase the cheers package for my daughter at the atrium bar. I did not have to pay. Some say to stop at guest services first but we didn't do that. Bartender just cleared it with the bar manager.

I am on several Carnival Casino Facebook groups.  They have all reported that Cheers can be purchased for the cabin mate once on board at the casino bar.  You do not have to pay for both people but you lose the pre boarding discount.  I personally have several casino offers with just drinks everywhere for me.  My casino offers that include my cabin mate are mostly just drinks while gambling and less Fun Play.

While the original post is old, this may be beneficial to some. My So got the free drinks everywhere for are upcoming cruise in may. I emailed them to see if I could qualify for anything since I get casino offers as well and even though his said only for one they said I will get it as well. Doesn’t hurt to send an email.

Useful thread, thank you.

I also have drinks on us everywhere on ship for a cruise next year out of NY. Given that cheers cannot be used first day out of NY, will the same apply to the drinks on us, so no comp drinks that first night in the casino,?

In Galveston, they made my DW wait until the casino opened to give her the free drinks everywhere.  I had free while playing and it also worked the first day.  Others had said the free drinks everywhere worked as soon as they boarded on the first day.

I was able to get free drinks right away out of Galveston with the drinks anywhere offer.  This was in December of ‘21.

So after reading the "Terms and Conditions" for the offer, it doesn't appear that they are supposed to offer free drinks on Embarkation Day from Galveston, so I'm thinking anyone that did get them on day one was just lucky?

"Drinks benefit is valid for the eligible VIFP Club Member and one travel companion (assigned to the same stateroom). Must be 21 or older to purchase and/or consume alcoholic beverages. Due to Texas state law, our Drinks On Us! benefit is not available on embarkation day for sailings departing from Galveston, TX, but will be available at the start of day two. Additional restrictions may apply. Carnival Players Club® reserves the right to change or cancel this promotion at any time."

How do you redeem your drinks on us everywhere promotion? Is it just automatically put on your sail & sign card when you book your next cruise? I received it for me and my companion and I just don’t know if it’s something I have to sign up for when I book my cruise or if it’s just automatically put on our cards… thank you in advance.

Haven't read all the responses so I apologize if someone else has said this, but my understanding is usually if you get DOU, it applies to you and 1 guest in the same room.  So, I think your husband would get the DOU, too. I am not sure, though, because I have only gotten Drinks on Us while in the casino and not all over the boat...but I know that it applied to the first two people in the cabin in my instance.  If it doesn't for some reason, maybe ask the casino if they can extend it to your cruising partner.

I'm not sure of your question. IF you booked your cruise with a casino offer that specifically states you have drinks everywhere for you  and a companion then when you board the ship it's already coded on your sign and sail account and you don't need to do anything else, no activation, or stickers, or anything like that.

It's added to your portfolio automatically. I always ask at check in to make sure, and it's always there. So it's on your key card. Just go to muster, do the song and dance, then drink up!

When my DW received the drinks on us everywhere offer, I only received the drinks on us while playing in the casino.  The everywhere offer didn't extend to me.  In Galveston, the casino host said once the casino opened she could get drinks anywhere on the ship on embarkation day.  Also the DOU while playing worked the first night.  Others have said DOU everywhere worked right away.

They aren't giving you Cheers for free. Drinks on Us is totally different and you have to play a certain amount in the casino before you qualify for DOU. Usually DOU drinks are only available in the casino if you're playing, but they have done a couple of promotions that extend that to drinks anywhere on the ship. But you still have to qualify first. I'm not sure what happens though if you and your husband buy Cheers up front and then you qualify for the DOU program. Perhaps if that happens, they would refund the prorated amount of just your Cheers package starting the date you qualify for DOU?? That would be a question for Carnival.

The OP stated that the deal is for Drinks everywhere on the ship which is indeed the Cheers package.

That would great!  Didn't think about asking for them to comp my husband's drinks too.  I will ask.  The worst that can happen is that they say no, right?

Your husband would have to have the same deal that you have in order for him to get the package.

I saw a post in a facebook group where a woman was complaining that she went on a Carnival cruise and had "DOU" everywhere.  She thought it applied to her and a guest (because that was the deal she had had in the past...also what I have had had in the past) but then she and her guest found out once they were on board that the DOU everywhere ONLY applied to her!  I am guessing this is something new Carnival is doing to save money. Only the one with the casino offer gets the free drinks everywhere, I guess. Sigh.
