Ubarrow Posted October 26, 2020 #1 Share Posted October 26, 2020 I keep receiving emails advertising upcoming cruises and would like to do a transatlantic during 2021. Does anyone know the current position? i.e. Are booking being accepted, and on what basis?
Host Hattie Posted October 26, 2020 #2 Share Posted October 26, 2020 The Cunard website has details of the proposed protocols and the Flexible Transfer Policy Cunard - Sailing with Confidence
Underwatr Posted October 26, 2020 #3 Share Posted October 26, 2020 Playing with the website a little, the only itineraries that are bookable are those that Cunard has a public intent to sail - Transatlantics beginning in April 2021 after the currently defined end of the announced pause. I didn't complete a booking but I expect it would be accepted and my deposit charged.
Rare Vict0riann Posted October 26, 2020 #4 Share Posted October 26, 2020 We are booked for an October crossing - they didn't mind taking our money... (just the deposit, I mean!)
Gretchendz Posted November 18, 2020 #5 Share Posted November 18, 2020 Cunard issued this a few days ago: Cunard has reviewed the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Framework for Conditional Sailing and is seeking additional clarification to fully understand the requirements. While we await further information, we have (temporarily) stopped selling all cruises eight days and longer which call upon a U.S. port and depart January 1 through November 1, 2021. For those who are currently booked on one of these cruises, we ask for your patience to receive further information from Cunard on whether your cruise is impacted. Please note, the cruises noted above HAVE NOT been cancelled and there is no action required from you or your clients at this time.
