zelker Posted November 16, 2020 #26 Share Posted November 16, 2020 (edited) Typically music and dancing go until around midnight. There might also be a crew performance in the theater after dinner. Lectures happen during the day or just before dinner. There are many sizes of tables, you just let them know at the podium what you'd prefer. It's been a couple of years but I think dinner in any of the venues starts at 7:00 (someone correct me if I'm wrong please). Excursions are not included except zodiacs in Antarctica (at least that I know of). No, additional gratuities are not expected (although we usually give a little extra to those who we feel have gone above and beyond). Cantara24 Posted November 16, 2020 #27 Share Posted November 16, 2020 @cruiselvr04 The Club has live entertainment, a small dance floor, a fantastic bar, also a casino attached, they stay open as long as people are there. If you like a cigar you can hit the rear deck outside the Club and enjoy. Always an evening show on in the Grand Salon, maybe not glitzy but usually really good talent. Been on one cruise during Super Bowl, they live stream and the tail gate party food is a real treat. Also seen UEFA matches streamed. Evening dining hours start 7PM in all venues except TK Grill which is 6PM, and you go when it suits you. Room services is 24/7. Menus are posted daily in your Dining Guide. Resy’s are only necessary at TK Grill. How and whom you dine with or don’t is completely your choice. Excursions generally are not included. Exceptions exist on the expedition type cruises. Tipping is really not expected, it is built into your cruise price. Some still choose to tip their favorite, others don’t. We fall in the latter group but we do go to Seabourn Square and contribute to the Crew Fund so even those crew you never see get something. Wendy The Wanderer Posted November 16, 2020 #28 Share Posted November 16, 2020 2 hours ago, cruiselvr04 said: What is there to do in the evening? A lecture would put me to sleep. Is there music, dancing? What time is dinner usually? Are there only tables for 2 if you’re traveling as a couple? We actually enjoy meeting others when we cruise although I know some people hate being seated with strangers. Are any excursions included? And although it says tips are included, are they really not expected? On my single Seabourn cruise on Quest, in the NE (Quebec, St. Lawrence River Nfld., etc.), there was a nightclub that went fairly late with quite a decent band. Lectures tend to be in the afternoons, not evening. There's a show in the evenings, fairly modest because the main lounge is quite small--comedians, musicians, etc. No included excursions. You can choose to share tables in the dining room (at least pre-covid) by just indicating that you wish to do so--great place to meet and chat with new people. And tips really are not expected.
