Thanks for any information. SeaDream can provide current specific details but the most pertinent are a negative COVID PCR test taken less than 72 hours prior to arrival at Barbados. That could be a challenge for the Dec. 27 voyage in light of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. If arriving the day of departure, you will also need to take an approved transfer from the airport to the port. If arriving earlier, there are additional quarantine and testing protocols that may be required.
laurelguy Posted November 9, 2020 #3 Share Posted November 9, 2020 Seems to be the question of the season! We're on the 12/27 departure and have to get tested on 12/24. We're spending 12/26 in MIA then flying to BGI 12/27 and hopefully going straight to ship with our negative test. Go to the Barbados website and you'll see all the protocols. Hopefully after a few trips under their belt, our beloved SeaDream will have a good system in place!

We would fly from Dallas to Miami on the 26th and on the 27th to BGI. Where do you plan on getting the test done and how long will it take them? cabosal1 Posted November 10, 2020 #6 Share Posted November 10, 2020 There seems to be numerous bloggers on the SD current Barbados cruise. The Points Guy wrote an interesting first day review of his experience traveling from Philly to Barbados and boarding the ship, testing and champagne, and dining el-fresco, etc. Check it out as he will be reporting more this week. Also, I have seen many criticisms of SD's no-mask policy as "irresponsible". Hope they don't succumb to the fright mongers (who aren't going anywhere for awhile).
Jim Avery Posted November 10, 2020 #7 Share Posted November 10, 2020 I am with you Cabosal. If everyone onboard has been tested negative at least three times, what might masks prevent from spreading? SD is it's own "bubble" at sea.

esesohsam Posted November 10, 2020 #10 Share Posted November 10, 2020 Does anybody know if you're actually allowed off in the ports? I've been following The Points Guy and journalist Sue Bryant and it just seems as though the ship is anchoring away from the islands and all you can do it snorkel/swim?
