Aft Facing balconies on Koningsdam

We have decided on an aft facing balcony (not an aft-wrap or suite) for our Alaskan cruise... it appears deck 8 and deck 6 may offer a larger balcony than deck 5- is this correct?  I wouldn't normally book a cabin under Lido, but we want a large balcony to enjoy the scenery... what say the HAL experts?!?

TIA 🙂

Last December, we were in 8188, which was our first aft cabin.  The balcony was larger than most veranda cabins and the overhang covered the entire balcony, unlike the cabins on the lower decks.  That may come in handy in Alaska if/when it rains.  We did get a little noise from the deck above, but that wasn’t a problem for us.  Being at the ship’s stern, we did walk more than when we were in other cabins on the Koningsdam.  Overall, we really liked the cabin with its larger balcony.
