stavman Posted December 5, 2020 #1 Share Posted December 5, 2020 Let’s just say that I’m a collector, and one my hobbies is casino chips. I’m also not talking about just single chips but enough chips to play a poker game with. Any idea what is done with chips after the boats are sold off?

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO stavman: One of my hobbies is to collect casino chips also. Some of the chips I have are from casinos that aren't in business anymore. Have a lot of them. Don't know what they do with the chips after the boats are sold off. I imagine that collectors, like us, would just hang on to them. Have quite a few chips from casinos that aren't in existence any more.
Sand and Seas Posted December 11, 2020 #3 Share Posted December 11, 2020 I inherited a few Nevada casino chips my parents had from closed casinos. Personally, I love my Dolphin Cruise Line casino chip key-ring. Had some fun cruises on those ships😎
PigsCanFly Posted January 25, 2021 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2021 Many of the closed land casinos have chips for sale at the Gamblers store in Vegas. I have seen many different RCCL ship chips at Royal Casinos. I imagine that they just get spread out to other ships in the line. I have a $5 chip from each ship that I have been on and several that I have collected from onboard from other ships.
