Who do I contact to set this up? FI has tried calling just the main hotel # and just gets bounced around, with no answer to the question. We are staying at the Wyndham Grand Bay in Miami. monkey1 Posted February 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2006 If you set up a group room block at the hotel, you can ask your room coordinator. otherwise, just call the front desk and let them know you need to ship a package for a hotel guest and ask them if there are any special instructions. Typically, you just want to schedule it to arrive the day of (or one day before at the very earliest) to your attention, care of the hotel. so for ex. I used what was supposed to be "guranteed" UPS to have group stuff sent on to hotel in Seattle last June..ooops.. they goofed and it showed up the day after we sailed.. Of course they had to return to me but then I paid to re-send to homes.. IMHO Fed Ex is most reliable way.. pay the extra and do next day delivery so you will KNOW a couple days before you leave that it's there safely.. gerif Posted February 15, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 15, 2006 I've worked on a number of conventions where I had to ship boxes of stuff in advance to the hotel - just speak with one of the special events coordinators at the hotel to arrange for receipt.
