Here's the Christening of the original Royal Princess in 1984

Thanks for sharing, awesome!  My all time favorite cruise was on the Royal Princess, a 14 day repo cruise, San Juan to LA, May 1986. 

 

It was a big band cruise with Les Brown and his band of Renown.  My friend and I were among not too many passengers under 50!  Most people dressed to the nines every night, the band played all the time, not just the theater.  They were great fun around the ship participating in everything.

 

I still love cruising but nothing tops my cruises in the mid-80s-90s, they were special, different from from what cruising is today.
