Visited Vancouver in Summer 2019 at the end of a 7-night Alaskan Inside Passage Cruise that visited Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan - so have photos of those places too.  I'll start with photos of Vancouver's Old Town

For those who haven't visited, a short way out of the city is Capilano Park, with its famous suspension bridge and high-trees walkways

Granville Island is a district of the city which is almost - but not quite - an island.  It has a market, lots of arts & crafts stalls and loads of places to eat & drink - a great tourist spot

Yes, we were there 3 September  our pics are almost the same  apart

from the weather.  guess in a small place we will all have the same pictures.

Another day of great photographs so thanks for the memories.

On our grand trip in 2007 we left Vancouver and travelled south to Seattle where we spent somr time with my husband's cousin and her family before we joined an Alaska cruise. We didn't have posh cameras in those days so our pictures are not the best.

We didn't see much of the town because we visited the Mendenhall Glacier first...

Juneau, following on from yesterday ( like others on post) our visit in 2006, I had a fairly limited digital camera by todays equipment, so not so many pics, as i took lots of video clips on that trip & they do not play on here. we went up in the cable car, & spent the afternoon on a whale watching trip, excellent.

We had an excursion in the morning of our call to Juneau and then had a wander around town in when we got back.  In this post I'll attach some photos of the town and in the next some from the excursion.

 

And before anyone asks, yes, I was able to resist buying "The Duke", for the man that has everything...🤭

We had independently pre-booked a tour with Coastal Helicopters in Juneau.  They collected us from beside the ship and took us to the airport then dropped us back in the town centre upon our return.  Obviously, very expensive but as a likely once-in-a-lifetime moment it was worth every cent.

A moment I'll never forget. I felt truly humbled and incredibly lucky to be able to do this.

Skagway today. Tomorow we visit Glaciers by ship. College Fjord or Glacier Bay or Hubbard Glacier.

We travelled up to the Yukon by coach and back on the Whitehorse train.
