Sorry should have said. We were on Ventura a couple of weeks ago.
-
You just turn up on Ventura. If you want a table for two and they are full they will issue a pager and you can sit in a lounge or bar and wait.
-
Yes CPS can be booked without the free parking. Just go to the website to get a quote.

This always seems to happen a few weeks after the cruises come on sale. A year or two later not sure.

Great where some cabins don’t have hooks by the door. Gets coats etc out of the wardrobe. We have ones with flat bases that the hooks screw into bought some time ago. Plenty to be found.

What is P&O cruise line like in 2024?

Don’t tend to find that booking from UK. Princess is more expensive. -
I am sure that Princess has got it right by giving everybody what they want.
-
The two Anytime dining rooms have allowed reservations for some time which is our preference but sometimes are booked out and are restricted for walk ins. You @terrierjohn now have a single dining room for walk ins which is your preference and is an improvement for you.

I think the Princess new system is good. Everyone will know which MDR restaurant is for what type of dining, Club, Reservation or Walk-In and there should be no milling around outside clogging the area.
-
New dining on Princess ships including seperate MDR for walk ins. https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2024/04/princess-cruises-rolls-out-fleetwide-dining-changes/

It was a long cruise which is more prone to outbreaks.

Do you mean Intercruise -
Internet at present has 15% discount online. Will you not be doing any drinking or anything else on board to use up your OBC
-
Was this in Japan? If not where did it embark and where was the cruise going to.

At Visby catch the little local shuttle to the top of the town, zig zag your way down, catch the little local shuttle at the bottom, near the front, back to the ship. -
P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?

Everyone seems to be complaining about children and standards on every cruise line during holidays. Hopefully you will find the usual good standard on Princess in June during term time. -
In what way?

Hope you feel a bit better later today. Lucky there was someone to look after you and Ted and call an ambulance. Take care and don’t do things too fast. -

Our steward was new and maybe the old hands have collected all the face cloths and keep their own little stash. Likewise we found the travel home on a Sunday was great. -

Just returned from our first cruise on Ventura although have travelled on several Princess Grand class ships. Weather was not brilliant but was good in Oporto which was a new destination for us. Think @happy v was on this cruise as well. We felt the food was fine in the MDR, selection good and various vegetables. We had freedom dining on a table for two and sometimes ate early and other times had a pager. We had two nicely spiced meals in Sindhu and also ate twice in Epicurean. Facecloths were no longer available. Drinks selection was limited especially cocktails. Embarkation at 2.15 was good and disembarkation ok but haphazard. We don’t do shows so can’t comment on that. The piano player Tony Williams was especially good and we were surprised that the Metropolis was a good substitute for the Crows Nest. Did miss having any classical players. There was one speaker but it clashed with other things. Lots of craft classes. All in all a lovely cruise and we shall going on Ventura again in the future. -
All side cabins have the same large balcony half shaded half unshaded.

Just for information what time was the coach due to arrive at Newmarket. Thanks

Selbourne ‘Live’ from Aurora’s 2024 Grand Tour

Really enjoyed your blog, so much information. With regards to Travel Insurance I can’t help but think the missed ports payouts have contributed in making Travel Insurance unprofitable for companies like U.K. Insurance and that is why they have left the market. I wonder what Aviva will charge per cruise in the future. Lucky for you the cover continues for your next two cruises.
