We found cabins where there are showers only. Can anyone please share pictures and or experience?

Thanks a million

Most standard cabins on modern cruise ships are shower only. I have been on 60 cruises and all except one were shower only. Perfectly normal experience for me as I have never taken a bath in the bathtub since I was a kid except to try those jet tubs they have at some hotels. You don't have showers in Germany?

We were on the Oosterdam a year ago in a Signature Suite, and it had both a shower and a bathtub.  As I understand, if you want to make sure you have a bathtub you need to book a suite.  However you have to be careful...the Vista suite on the Volendam and Zaandam has a tub only, but the Vistas on the others are shower only.   If you have concerns, the HAL website shows you the potential room layouts.

If you are looking at only the Zuidy, you will have to book a Signautre suite or up to get a bathtub.

Thank you..hahaha  for the joke.

While i have been only on 20 cruises i never used the bath tubs eg in cunard and seabourn and i do not understand why they still have them plus the very unhygienic curtains. I would love to have a shower only with preferably a glass door.

I saw some rooms indicating only shower which i love and hoped to find someone with pictures to get an impression

halfacts.com is a great site for HAL cabin pics and lots of other info.

Here are some verandah cabins on Zuiderdam or her sister ships that feature the shower only.

cruisedeckplans.com is an excellent resource for cruise ship cabin pictures as well.

edit: Many of the older HAL ships have a majority tub/shower combo in verandah cabins but the newer Pinnacle class ships feature shower only in verandah, and very spacious and pretty showers with the clear partition.

We've been on Zuiderdam twice, both in cabin 4061, and it had (and probably all partially-obscured OV cabins (behind the lifeboats) on that deck have) a tub-shower combination. We were on board in September 2018 and September 2019.

If you look at the halfacts website you can see the showers in VB 4166, 4170 and 4172 on the Zuiderdam.  The enclosures are pretty small and the shower curtain may try to cling to you in the shower.  The cabins with tubs still have a shower above the tub but some people have trouble stepping into the tub due to the high sides.  If you qualify for an accessibility stateroom you will have a roll-in shower.  You could consider the Signature Suites with a separate shower.

You mean you don’t like the feature of the shower curtains that STICK to you when the ship rocks???😜😳
