Queenvic Posted February 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2006 Hello, All. I am a good southern girl from Texas sailing on the Rhapsody in less than 3 weeks. I am wondering if I will be cold in the dining room. Do they keep those rooms pretty chilly or not? I am planning on wearing short sleeve or sleeveless outfits pretty much the whole cruise. Thanks! Queenvic :)

Queenvic :) Dining rooms are kept cool because of the # of people in them at the same time. It's not freezing or anything, but I suggest you may want to bring a sweater that you can drape over your shoulders if you feel cold. Have a great cruise! cruiserfan Posted February 13, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2006 If you are upstairs it isn't too bad. Downstairs I thought was pretty chilly. We even had a our waiter bring us tableclothes to wear around our shoulders because he saw we were freezing!!
trish1c Posted February 13, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2006 Personally I think that the temperature in the dining rooms is the same as the temperature in the walk-in refrigerators in the kitchens. :p

wrp96 Posted February 13, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 13, 2006 I wasn't cold at all on the lower level when I sailed Rhapsody in December. Now, other ships I've needed my sweater at dinner many a time.
cincicruisers Posted February 13, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 13, 2006 I bring a sweater and a couple of different color shawls with me. It has been cold for me in the dining rooms.

Nliedel Posted February 13, 2006 #10 Share Posted February 13, 2006 I always, always take a wrap. If I never use it, fine. I make sure it's light (bag them being out of style, I still love a pashmina) if I need it WONDERFUL! They are great on deck too.
lilmsonry Posted February 14, 2006 #11 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Queenvic, Would you by chance be sailing on 3/5/06? If so, we are sailing with you! If you are, we have met our quota for a meet and mingle get together. You still have time to register, sounds like lots of people will be there. :p When is your sail date?:)
TrinaLC Posted February 14, 2006 #12 Share Posted February 14, 2006 I always bring a black wrap - goes with anything.

Queenvic Posted February 14, 2006 Author #14 Share Posted February 14, 2006 lilmsonry, Yes, I am on the 03/05 sailing. We are travelling with another couple and their kids as well. I know they have signed up for the M&M, but I haven't done that yet. (Just lazy.) I'll do that today though. What is the quota for an M&M? ORANGEinINDY Posted February 14, 2006 #15 Share Posted February 14, 2006 A light coverup is a good idea... you COULD get a slight sun-burn and that exposed skin can feel very cold in the AC
