I saw an Ad on my Facebook that took me to the Carnival VIFP website and I went ahead and uploaded my MLife Gold Card  to see what this can give me. When it says Free Drinks does this mean in the Casino or on the ship? What benefits can the MLife Gold card give? Thanks

The casino offers (usually) clearly say what the offer is, such as "Free drinks, while you play in the casino. Some offers can be for drinks anywhere on the ship. Offers may include both guests in cabin or just the named guest in the casino offer. Re-read the offer and check the fine print for restrictions.

Never heard of an MLife Gold Card.  Is this given by Carnival Players Club or by an outside agency, as it was originally from a Facebook ad?  Interested in finding out more.

It's a MGM Resorts/Casino loyalty/rewards card. There must have been a link or use of mailing list if a Carnival VIPF offer popped up. I've heard the casinos onboard are not owned by Carnival but I'm pretty sure there is no affiliation with MGM.

Ah - thanks so much for the speedy reply.  Certain land casinos do offer promos - I just got one from Resorts Atlantic City for a free Carnival cruise certificate.  (which I have used in the past.)

Did you do this through  the URCOMPED site by chance?

I was asked to take a photo of the front and back of any players card to link it with my VIFP cars. It stated free drinks ,free or discounted cruise etc. Royal Caribbean matches your status with MGM , Celebrity etc. I wish Carnival would match Cunard and Princess loyalty programs. Why start at Blue?

Without seeing the offer I wouldn't dare to say. Free drinks on Carnival will usually say something like: free drinks while playing in the casino (you only), free drinks while playing for you and one travel companion, or drinks anywhere on ship.

Basically if you send URcomped current offers that you get (doesn't really matter cruise or land based casinos) they will get you offers for other casinos.

Here's a screenshot of casino offers on Carnival VIFP website, see the section highlighted in blue?  Only free drinks while in casino.  It says "while playing" but most of the waiters don't bother with that.

Not all offers are the same.

I'll play for drinks😁

I looked at the urcomped site but did not see any thing listed for Carnival. I don't think the casino offers from Carnival follow any rhyme or reason. They obviously can track your slot play off your S&S card and I believe chips at table games are noted, too. Casino offers can vary quite a bit and even minimal players get offers. My Oct. booking was basically a free cabin, $100 deposit(X2) with $200 OBC. The drinks offers vary, too. Sorry if you feel slighted for Carnival not matching status but they do have some good ones. I play often but not huge numbers. I've had offers with good fares and $500 OBC. I'd say book Carnival if you get a decent price and free drinks. Pretty sure I've seen a phone number on these boards for the Players Club if you need additional info from the casino. I assume you know the slots payouts are lower than land based casinos? I enjoy playing and have had profitable weeks, broken even or lost a few hundred. All in good fun.
