Dining Room Menu

I wonder if Carnival will change up their dining room menus since there has been so much ‘non-sailing’ time. Or, will choices be less as many land-based restaurants are currently? I don’t really care one way or the other (just want to get on board) but I thought it might be fun to hear cruiser views on the subject.

I don't think the MDR and the Specialty Restaurants will have changed though the buffet area might be scaled back in offerings a bit as at the start it will most likely be "cafeteria" style serving. That's it I suppose. Food and variety is a big incentive for many when cruising and I think they'll try to keep changes minimal. That's my thoughts anyway.

The Menu i believe will remain much the same. Lobster only on cruises of 5 days or more.  The interesting part is going to be the seating. Table of 10 now 6 or 4 ? tables of 4 only2 unless same family or joint booking?

lobster on cruises of 6 days or more.

It is a good point with the buffet - there are so many items on cruise ship buffets. I wonder if they'd bother making permanent changes to the way the buffet is set up (like the room itself) or if they'll just have servers behind each counter to give you foods?

Also, I defs enjoy looking at menus and pictures of food online, so also, thank you to all you unsung heroes to post those!

Yeah, the food porn was really popular before the dark cloud of Covid 19 cast its pall over these pages. Almost makes me want to search through some old reviews.

We were on the last cruise on the Panorama as the pandemic was shutting down cruising.  The buffet was being served by gloved crew members instead of self serve.  They would give you as much as you wanted.  I believe there was a lot less waste of food.  I pretty confident that’s how cruising will start.

My vote is that it will be exactly the same at least for the first year. Carnival will not be doing anything to increase cost for a while and changing the menu requires output, planning and sourcing. Small changes could occur do to changes in sourcing.
