Thank you! I will - I was planning on going on there - but didn't want to jinx anything 🙂   This is only my second Celebrity Cruise. We went once back in the early 2000's.  We booked the Retreat so not sure how that all works - my final payment is due today and I plan to pay soon....Still waiting on my July 3rd Princess Cruise money back 😕

From what I have read, the Retreat is excellent. It is out of our budget - so no first hand knowledge. We do a lot of RCCL cruises and Celebrity seems to match our Senior lifestyle better. We are booked on the Eclipse next May from Hawaii to Vancouver. I personally love the Solstice class best.

LOL - it is out of our budget too but we had some kind of casino discount, but you are right - very pricey for sure!  My thing is - it looks very nice but I would really like to try some of those other restaurants and bars etc., not just the place they have for the Retreat area - not sure it's allowed.

You should eat anywhere you wish -  main dining room or specialty restaurants. We have cruised in Aqua Class that has Blu assigned - but we ate everywhere - all we did was notify Blu that we were not eating that particular night. They even helped us make reservations to other dining venues.

I'm just frustrated by the lack of concrete guidance.  We all know it's happening but nothing "official" has been announced.  I'm booked on the Edge end of July and we're extremely optimistic but also a little wary.  There is zero reason the CDC should be preventing cruiselines from a full go at this point.

Hi, Joan!

Well, we were going to wait until our Med/TA in October/November for our first cruise but when they opened up Alaska on Thursday we jumped on it (HAL) and are now waiting to see X's prices because they are running Friday-Friday and HAL is running Saturday-Saturday and not identical itineraries so conceivably we could do X, spend a night in Seattle at the end, then board HAL on Saturday.  🤭 (of course have to convince John to do both)

Hope you guys are doing well!  Any plans to head up here this summer?

Good to see your back on the boards.  You can convince John to do a B2B- it’s Alaska.

We are thinking road trip thru Utah parks possible this summer so we would stop on CO.  We’ll let you know if we do & try and get together.

You're not an idiot, you're an optimist – and day by day we can change that to realist.  Bon voyage!

My favorite poem EVER that I learned in grade school...read it slowly, picture it, absorb it, live it!

An optimist fell ten stories, and at each window bar, he shouted to his friends, "all right so far!"

I probably just gave Celebrity a bunch of my money to hold into for a year, but I just booked the July 25 eastern Caribbean from Ft. Lauderdale along with flights thru Celebrity. I guess I have some skin in the game now. We’ve never sailed on Celebrity so our fingers are crossed...

We are sailing!!!

Come hang in the roll call 🙂

So worst case you’ll make 25% on your money!
