ToroAzul Posted May 25, 2021 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2021 My son will be almost six at the time of sailing and think he would have a better time with Explorer group and space. Do Royal 'hardline' ages as far as the clubs go? I'm not sure how much mileage he will get out the Aquanauts program being one of the very oldest kids. Thanks in advance. Ashland Posted May 25, 2021 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2021 This can vary I've heard and best to check once onboard with the Adventure Ocean staff if they will allow an almost 6 to be in the Explorer age group.
Merion_Mom Posted May 26, 2021 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2021 Someone in the group will always be the youngest. Someone will always be the oldest.

Billy Baltic Posted May 26, 2021 #5 Share Posted May 26, 2021 (edited) My experience is it varies and sometimes you want to wait until you’re on board to decide. Sometimes the older category are weighed towards older kids and our kids wouldn’t like to be in there when they’re 2 - 3 years younger. It’s the luck of the draw. We’ve found the staff to be flexible though. Edited May 26, 2021 by Billy Baltic
