I didn't mean to book another cruise last night...

I had already booked 3 cruises, 2 for this year and 1 for next year. Then I started receiving such great casino offers I booked 1 more for this Nov and 4 more for next year in April, Sept,  Oct,  and Dec. That's 8 total. The only iffy one is my July 31st Mardi Gras, but they haven't cancelled it yet.

My PVP says she's got one guy who's booked twelve in recent weeks. She says until I reach that point she's not sick of hearing from me yet. Although between me, my mom, and my best cruising buddy, we've all been ringing her phone off the hook in a frenzy of optimism.

Pretty sure your PVP is not sick of making money! 🙂  They want us back!

Canadian Govt just announce today that it is looking to relax travel restrictions on Fully vaccinated Canadians in early July with the removal of the Mandatory 3 day hotel stay upon re-entering the Country and no longer requiring the 14 day Quarantine period following that.  Making my November Cruise chances look better and better.  YAY!!  Still require a Negative PCR test to travel to the US and a Negative PCR test before returning and a PCR test upon arrival but at least i dont have to find 17 days of vacation just to Quarantine after my vacation.

We are getting closer to normal. Does this mean the borders may be opened soon?

Wife got the multiple casino offers. Booked a $100 balcony, and then another, and another. Are those offers for an unlimited number of bookings?

You can use them to book 3 cruises.  I have two a month apart in the midst of hurricane season but I’m willing to take my chances:).  Worst that can happen is I just rebook if they get cc’d.  The third one is in December with my daughter.  I just couldn’t pass up that kind of deal, lol.

Quick note for folks needing a passport...

If you are in a city environment, don't forget to check your rural post office locations!   For our daughter's last in-person renewal, it was impossible to get an appt anywhere near the city, but I looked up a smaller post office just outside the county we are in but only 20 minutes away.  They had appointments and were so pleasant and easy to deal with.  I just checked and they have free appointments starting about 4 weeks out from today.

Good luck!

I had no plans to give Carnival any more money until cruises had at least started again.  I was content (mostly) to wait until Feb 2022 for our family cruise, but then I got a Cheers to You email.  Soooo my husband and I will hopefully get our long-awaited grown ups only cruise in November because the RU2 deal was too good to pass up.

Our passports expired in February this year so we were going to get a little closer to the Feb 2022 cruise before mailing in the renewals.  But then we (I) decided to be impulsive so we are mailing them off this week.  Our kids' have to be renewed in person due to age so we started making plans to do that since we were already on the website and HOLEY COW, y'all!  Because there are now so few acceptance locations and so many pandemic restrictions, our first available appointment for them isn't until August.

Moral of the story, if you need a passport (book or card, it doesn't matter), DO IT NOW.

Yep...we can't get our son in until the first week of August and I booked it like two weeks ago.  My husband and I did ours by mail and already have them back, but we paid to expedite as we thought we needed them sooner for something else that didn't happen.  Expediting took about 4 weeks.

I had a feeling that once international travel opened up again, there would be a mad dash for passport renewals. I sent out for my son’s renewal back in April. Slim pickings for appointments living in a semi-rural area unless we drove to Atlanta an hour away. Luckily we got an appointment 2 weeks after I started the process. I paid for expedited service and it arrived less than 4 weeks after our appointment. Besides waiting for the actual appointment I was pleasantly surprised at how expeditiously it was handled.

Best of luck with your travel plans!

When our early August cruise was cancelled, we booked inexpensive four-nighters on both Carnival and Royal in August/September, hoping that at least one would sail and we could cancel the other.  The Sunrise in August is sailing, but we just don’t have what it takes to voluntarily cancel yet another cruise, so we are keeping the Brilliance also.

I totally would do the same thing.
