How extensive were the excursions in each port for your sailing? I have seen reference on these boards that  for St Barts no excursions are offered? We are "active" travelers and what the listing shows is pretty sparse and low key.

thanks so much

Bob

Hopefully more will answer as the weeks progress - we really were on the ship to enjoy the ship. Loved it! But we didn't pay much attention to the offered excursions. Only got off on two ports so we're not the excursion experts. Every tour did maintain a bubble - no exploring on your own. Our cruise didn't visit St. Barts. We did fly back to Miami today without issue and are on our way back to the west coast tomorrow.

On our September-October Caribbean cruise and our upcoming February-March Caribbean cruise, St. Baths is the only port without excursions currently listed.

Rules and protocols change over time, sometimes quite rapidly. If the loss of going ashore in one port would negatively affect your cruise experience, or even wondering about the possibility of that happening would cause you stress, this probably isn't the time to be planning a cruise. If hiking, snorkeling, ziplining, and driving a 4x4 offload isn't active enough for you, this probably isn't the time (or place) to be planning a cruise. I say that with no judgment -- we're all looking for different things out of our vacation experience. (We booked these cruises because we love the atmosphere, food, drink, entertainment, the friendly & attentive staff pampering us, etc. on a Seabourn ship; we love being at sea, some beach time, and some sightseeing, but which specific islands we visited was far down on our list of priorities.)

Several people have reported that they have been told Seabourn expects people will be able to go ashore independently in St. Barths, but there's no official word of that yet.

Maybe that is because of the island's close connection to France?  Whatever the "rules" are in France for visitors might influence St. Barths "rules"?
