Edge Class Sunset Veranda Cabins

I'm trying to decide which floor to book a sunset veranda room on Apex.  I'm on a B2B and my second cruise (a TA) is on 7th floor, but I'm wanting a SV for the week before.   It would be easy to do 7th floor and just move up for the second, but want to have a good experience.  Help!  Are the higher levels better?  Read where there may be some soot on the lower floors but don't want to be directly under the top levels either.   Thanks.

Deck 7 is just above Eden, so there could be some noise.
We have 2.Edge cruises booked in SVs.  One is on deck 8and the other on deck 12.  Deck 12 was all that was available when we booked.

I'm booked on deck 9 for the apex sailing. Love the traditional balcony and was so glad to be able to find a room available so we don't have to have a "window" balcony

We were on deck 7 in 7032 for a TA in 2019.  Absolutely no noise at all from Eden.  Verandahs are the deepest on Deck 7.   They get smaller as you go up.   Would sail again in this stateroom in a heartbeat.

I posted some photos of our stateroom and verandah in this thread:
