Aruba Visitors Insurance - required for cruise pax?

The insurance is required for all foreign nationals with the exception of visitors who 

arrive and leave the same day, Crew Members  

and transit/transfer passengers who don't need to recheck their luggage. 

 

So, does this mean it is NOT required for cruise passengers since we "arrive and leave the same day?"  Sounds like they're referring to more to people with stopover flights.

 

I don't sail until November, so plenty of time to figure it out.  I just hadn't heard about this at all and was wondering.

Looking to book a cruise in Dec. with Aruba being one of the stops. Is there anything we should take into consideration before we book as far as covid requirements go? Not necessarily mask wearing, but more of testing requirements for cruise passenger visitors? We've both been vaccinated, but just trying to pick the best cruise itinerary during all the covid restrictions. Thanks for any replies.

This is for COVID.  In case you are a longer term visitor and test positive.  

 

Cruise ships arriving will have their own protocol.  If you plan of leaving the ship, staying overnight and getting sick, get the insurance.  Otherwise, check on general travel insurance and your own health plan for coverage while cruising.

Carnival itself is beginning to require travel insurance. It won't matter much what Aruba does.

 

"Travel Insurance Requirement — Florida and Texas Based Ships

Effective with sailings departing July 31, 2021 from Florida, and August 2, 2021 from Texas, guests must also show proof of travel insurance coverage during check-in. This requirement is currently being waived for children under 12 who are ineligible for a vaccine.
