How rough is a caribbean cruise?

I'm wondering how rough the Caribbean is? If the cruise was leaving from florida, would it only be rough on the way to the islands and calm from there?

It can vary wildly. I have been on cruises that felt like they were on a lake. I have also been on cruises that I had to learn to walk on my side.🤣 Mostly the ship stabilizers work well except in the worst seas.

It does vary a great deal depending on where you're going and how you sail there, seasonal conditions, plus the weather factors. So while you could run into higher/rougher seas anywhere, I do have to say that the ones I've been on that had the roughest were Western Caribbean. That could just have been the time of year, though.

Also depends on what you might consider rough and how easily you get seasick.
