Booked Mardi Gras 1/8/21 with this deal. Standard suite $1497 total for both. 200 onboard credit and free cheers package for both. I couldn't pass it up. Too good of deal. Booked it the first of May.

I looked online and apparently I can do just about any cruise I want for the next year at $100pp + tax tag and title

Even Australia

Booked an 8 day southern in 2 months on Horizon, was about $750 all in including tips

Get your play rated and get to know the casino people

But you didn't ask what my gambling bankroll typically is

LOL

(anywhere from $500-1000 a day, depending on luck and sea or port day)

The biggest thing is time. You're better to bet down to their minimum (for rating) and string it out to 3-4 hours per day, than walk in and drop $100 a hand for 10 hands in 20 minutes....they won't care you just lost a grand.

Any schmuck can do that.

A real "player" grinds it out for a few hours, no matter what. That's who they want.

Learn about ADT (Average Daily Theoretical wager) and what you need to play to up that ADT (there are other measures too, ADT is easiest)

It just means how much you wager per hour on average over how many hours per day on average....they they can figure out your AVERAGE LOSS and that is what you are worth in comps.

You wager more than the cruise cost, as do I, but you are not being rated. Do you give the dealer your room key/players card, so they know who you are?

Thanks for the info.

Yes, I always give the card to the dealer.  I sit there for at least 3 hours every night but I only bring $2K usually for the entire cruise for the casino.  I just love playing.  The first few cruises, I only played with cash and then learned to NOT do that.  I use my sail and sign and have done that the last several cruises.  I imagine I will start getting the deals soon.

Not that bad a bank roll, but what do you have out per hand (spin?)

Need to get to know the pit boss person, talk to them and ask them about rating and how it works. Ship casinos have their own systems, similar but different from US casinos.

Get to know the dealers, bosses and cage workers, TIP WELL, they do make notes in your player account. May deny it, but they do. You can't fool the algorithm, but like Uber, if you have a good rating, they can be more helpful.

There are also VIP casino companies that will put you on ships at no charge, just to play. I did a free (only paid taxes and fees) on a 7 day Western on MSC Divina, balcony cabin.

Get that rating right and deals can come your way

I doubt they really pay attention to how much you lose.  They're playing the long game.  They see what you bet per hand, how many hands and hour, and how many hours you're there.

If you're sitting at roulette (5.3% house edge) and playing $10 a spin, at 40 spins an hour, you are theoretically giving the casino $21.20 an hour.

If you're sitting at blackjack (2.0% house edge) and playing $10 a hand, at 105 hands an hour (3 players at table), you are theoretically giving the casino $21.00 an hour.

If you're sitting at  slot (~7.5% house edge) and playing $1 a spin, at 240 spins an hour, you are theoretically giving the casino $18.00 an hour. Except they actually know losses on machines.

Oh Jeez. I hope you didn't think I was directing that to you.

I was just adding to your Average Theoretical Loss statement, and how it is most important in the casino's mind.

Usually $25 per spin on the wheel.  I don't get to know the pit bosses but will next time.  I always tip the dealer.

So using the formulas above, you're good for about $50 an hour

Now it comes down to how many hours a day. You play an hour or two at that rate, you may not make enough to rate, but 4-5 hours, maybe so.

Again, on those formulas (assuming that is only coin-in), I'm doing $100+ an hour, 3-4 hours a day.

Make sure you are being rated fairly

3-4 hours a night.  Not sure if they rate playing the wheel.

Sure they do. You have to watch the pit boss, most important. When you first get to the table, watch the Pit Boss watch you play. That's when you bet bigger per hand for the first serval spins. The Pit boss will then enter into the computer what you're doing. That's the most important time to get the Pit boss's attention.

Here, try this as well before your next cruise. If you play like that on board, you must have a players card somewhere, get a status match

Wow.  The rates look GREAT now.  Never had casino deals before and now - they are there when I clicked on that link and enter my VIFP.  Thank you.  Many thank yous!
