Cruise Cancelled - How Long for Refund?

I had a cruise booked this August on the Ruby Princess out of San Pedro.  About a month ago I received a notice from Princess they were cancelling all the Ruby sailings the rest of the year.  I selected the option for a refund as I already have another cruise booked in October. How long does it normally take Princess to credit your credit card back the amount of the cancelled cruise?  I hate carrying $2k in balance (and interest).

It took us almost 2 months before we saw a refund on one of our many cancellations...

I do not have a definitive answer, but we had a Sep 18 Ruby cancelled and Credit Card refund was posted July 1st.

 

As it happens we did not ask for a refund, preferred a Replacement and the final date to chose Refund/FCC/Replace was July 17. What action did you take ? We have asked our TA to sort this out because replacement would cost more than cancelled.

 

I thought it would be after July 17 before Princess would start processing Refund/FCC/Replace.
