2 part Miami pre & post cruise hotels (HELP)

Ok here it goes. 
 

1) Looking for a one night pre cruise hotel in Miami. Looking for transportation from the Airport & To the port next morning.  Never cruised out of Miami, I would imagine most hotels would not offer free port shuttles.

 

2) end of cruise we have a flight out of Miami that is late in the evening 10:15. Do not want to sightsee looking for a daycation in a hotel. Have a room , use the pool. Anyone know how to go about getting a room from 10am-8pm. Any suggestions for this is welcomed.

1. What time do you arrive?  Staying near MIA makes sense only if you are arriving late and just want a room.  Arriving early and want dinner and to see some of Miami then stay downtown (Mary Brickell area is very popular) - and Uber from MIA to downtown hotels is about $20+ while a cab will cost you about $30+  Another $10+ Uber will get you to the port the next morning.

 

2. Post cruise you can look at www.resortpass.com or roomsbyday.com or other sites to find hotels offering day rooms.

We love staying at double tree across from pier love waking up and seeing our ship from the balcony, it shares lobby with marriot and there are many restaurants and stores in lobby area some restaurants have live music , cheap ten dollar Uber from port.

Great hotel - the pool area is fabulous!
