Just checked in... what is the Guest Smile & Go Technology?

I get the biggest kick out of the folks who take to FB or LI to declare their undying opposition to facial recognition technology being used anywhere for security, tracking, or other purposes...

Um.....

And yes, casinos have used this for many years now, as have many other industries.

At least in Galveston, the facial recognition software has made a night-and-day difference in disembarkation. We used to dread that last day... standing in those endless lines all crammed together with several thousand extremely grumpy people, trying to just get to the booths with grumpy CBP people, always felt like it sucked every bit of the previous week's relaxation right out of us. 😩  Now, you don't even slow down!! You're through and out and in your car so fast, it's almost disconcerting. And by disconcerting, I mean incredible. 😊 They can track me to their hearts' content if they want, lol.. it's totally worth it.

I just got off the Glory this past Sunday in NOLA and this the first time CCL used this tech in the NOLA; I've done it before for X in FLL.  It's amazing, while they say to have your passport in hand they don't even scan your passport.  I've just have bad luck in terminals with customs agents you have to talk to, from the person who can't find their passport, to the person who made a major jewelry purchase and argues its duty free, I just tend to get stuck in line.
