dogger321 Posted August 4, 2021 Author #3 Share Posted August 4, 2021 I tried calling carnival and was on hold for 45 minutes, it seems customer service is very busy so I figured I'd check here to see if anyone has done it.

They did tell me to talk to resolution department to see if they can do anything. So when I have time to call (put on hold) I will call again. It is hard to get in touch with carnival in these times.
klfrodo Posted August 10, 2021 #7 Share Posted August 10, 2021 First let me say I hope you get refunded. I'm going to come at this from the insurance companies "possible" thinking on this. Carnival just sells the insurance as a "convenience to the customer". One stop shopping and all that. It's also a profit center for them. However, Carnival has nothing to do with the insurance. I believe the insurance is actually AON and they are the ones sharing the risk with you. Since the insurance policy includes a CFAR rider, (Cancel For Any Reason), I could see their stance that they have been at risk of loss since the moment the policy was bought. I may be way off base.
