My friend bought one of those stupid hats on our cruise last year in Key West. Yep - the word dork comes to mind. :D I'm going to be in deep sugar if he reads this.

Funny you should ask that question. We (my 8 siblings and mates) just sailed on RCL last Dec. The day before we sailed we are at some beach shops in FL and found this really nice hat shop. My brother tried on a captains hat and he looked so good wearing it I told him "You HAVE to buy that hat!" Well he did, and he wore it onboard quite and bit and everyone loved it. He got lots of nice comments. In fact, when we were off the ship in Cozumel and he wasn't even wearing it, some, who was obviously from our ship, said "Hey, there's the Captain!" Too cool!:D

On my birthday cruise, I wore a pink fuzzy tiara on the plane, in the airport and onto the ship. Everbody knew it was my birthday and I still have it!

I say go ahead and wear the hat. Could it in any way look worse that the baseball caps on backwards. Maybe not as cool but certainly a heck of a lot more respectable !!!
