Nov Cruise - is it possible to do second "lift and shift"?

I have the Encore booked for Nov 2021 - originally scheduled for Nov 2020 and we pushed it out to Nov 2021.  I am Canadian and have a mixed vaccination (AZ + Pfizer) and there are still many border restrictions/testing even with flying.  Payment is due Sept 1.  So I think we need to back out of this cruise.  The deposit I made was with a Cruise Next certificate (which I believe I had to have used by earlier this year).  So my question is a) if we cancel this cruise outright, can I still use that cruisenext certificate - will they extend the "expiry timing"?  or b) can I do a second lift and shift and push this cruise out to Nov 2022 without any penalty or additional cost?  or c) any rumblings that Encore won't be doing this route (Caribbean from Miami) in November so NCL might cancel on us??  Thanks

You can probably extend the date on the CN certificate - but you'd have to call NCL

Never heard of NCL doing a lift and shift under current circumstances.  If they do, it's a well kept secret, since based on the complaints about increased cruise costs it just isn't happening.  Only time I'm aware of is when they moved everyone on the Star to another comparable cruise so they could do maintenance.

For US cruisers, you can cancel without penalty as long as it is before final payment - but each country has it's own rules, don't know if Canada has anything different than the US.

Just wanted to add that you might want to check with NCL about the mixed vaccines.  I thought I read that it wouldn't be accepted.  If sailing out of US ports, mixed vaccines not allowed.  If sailing non US ports, mixed are allowed.  Sorry for the confusion.

Based on this weeks experience no chance of a lift and shift with NCL.  Our December 2022 cruise TA on the Epic was cancelled yesterday.  As it is for redeployment issues with NCL and not Covid related I enquired about a lift and shift to the new scheduled sailing TA sometime in November 2022.

Same ship, slightly different itinerary and no one booked on it yet but it was a definate no to a lift and shift.  Such a shame as we had an amazing price on a Spa Mini suite, no doubt on the new date  it will be double what we paid when we booked.  Only saving grace is that we have plenty of notice, not sure what will happen to our deposits on the follow B2B x 2 which we can no longer take as they would now involve return flights from Spain

If it was extended once already, good luck on that.  Some have reported good experiences trying to extend one in order to be able to use it for a cruise they're in the process of booking, but I believe it still has to be within a year of the original expiration.

Also from Canada 🇨🇦 and it might not be the same, but we just phoned our consultant and changed our cruise from Feb 2022 to Apr 2022. Mind you, we hadn't paid final deposit. There were no issues and we added in airfare and it actually came out to same price.

I was also advised I could change put cruises through Dec 2022 when our casino certificate expires. She said not to cancel as this would cancel our certificate and we could not reuse it.
