Anyone hearing if there are any changes or what will happen if Spain go red ? Its going to be a busy testing centre

Our TA has not heard anything from P&O about changes once international cruising starts, although any changes will impact returning to the UK probably more than at embarcation, but there will undoubtedly be new protocols for each country visited.

Just as importantly, how will the cruise lines deal with the need to test everybody prior to returning to the UK,  ensure that everyone has filled in the UK Passenger Location document, and ensured that all passengers have ordered a Day 2 test kit and have the appropriate reference number.

Yes I was wondering this as well. We are due to embark Ventura on 23 Nov and heard nothing from P&O as to what we need to organise before cruising. Balance is also due to be paid next week (25 Aug) and not had a reminder from P&O (not sure that they send them now?). Maybe after the next review things will be a bit clearer, especially for those who are due to cruise in September.

Fingers crossed that we don't get cancelled.

This was posted on the Princess board, and is taken from the Princess web site. You woukd think that if Pribcess can do it, P&O can as well

Yes, if a negative COVID-19 test is required for re-entry into your home country and subject to availability, Princess will cover the costs of a COVID-19 test administered onboard the ship within the timeframe required prior to travel and prior to the end of the voyage. Guests will receive a copy of the test results. Guests are encouraged to review their home country’s health authority and travel websites to understand the latest guidance on required testing and timing for return travel.

Yes but they are only dealing with a few people. At the moment the majority of their guests are American and some Canadians. Very few need the test so they can accommodate them. If it were a whole ship it would be different Note that they say subject to availability.

That's true, but if they don't do the test on board, no one can get off!

My understanding is that all people entering the US from abroad, including US  citizens will need proof of a negative test.

Yes, but at present Princess are only sailing to Alaska so not an issue. (Seacations excluded)
