Pre-cruise hotel for Los Angeles departure

Could anyone please give me an idea of which hotel(s) Regent puts you in prior to sailing out of LA (San Pedro)?  I would prefer to book my own hotel, but getting to the port can be a challenge so the included transfer to the ship is appealing.  If I knew the type of accommodation provided by Regent it would make my decision much easier.

For the world cruise, we stayed at the Beverly Wilshire. I have also heard of the hotel being used for other cruises. There are no luxury hotels anywhere near San Pedro. It is quite a trek from Beverly Hills to the port.

The Crowne Plaza is pleasant enough and you can see the ships from the hotel.  They have a shuttle to the pier.

Last two Regent cruises embarking from L.A. (most recent June, 2018 on Navigator through Panama Canal to NYC) utilized Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons.  Great hotel.  Sunday departure.  Relatively light traffic while on 35-40 minute shuttle bus from hotel to San Pedro Pier.

Thanks for the responses.  I think I will stay with Regent's hotel.  We depart on a Monday, so getting to the port could be an issue traffic wise.  Have done the transfer too many times on my own!  🙈

If you want to do your own hotel and want to be closer to the San Pedro port in a luxury accommodation, check out the Terranea Resort (www.terranea.com) in nearby Rancho Palos Verdes. Really nice place.
