5 night cruise on Queen Elizabeth to Amsterdam October 15. Will there be a formal evening?voyage personaliser only showing smart attire.

I assume you are referring to the 13th October departure. I'm also booked for this itinerary , the 15th & 16th are considered port days.   As it is not listed in our personaliser  I doubt there will be an opportunity for formal/Gala attire, however, this could change nearer the time of departure.

We were on a complicated cruise on QM2, made up of bits of other cruises, which called at Hamburg twice. The second call was the start of a TA, but also many were on a two-nighter to Southampton. After we had boarded, they put in another formal night, I think on the night before we got to Southampton, supposedly so people didn't miss out on the experience. Many people were totally unprepared, especially those on the two-nighter, for whose benefit it supposedly was. Attendance at dinner that night was a little sparse.
