Thanks so much for the great trip report!  You mentioned that you played blackjack - how were the conditions?  No 6/5,  I hope (NCL had 3/2 at $15 on our August trip, although I prefer $10) - reasonable table limits?  Just days till I sail...

Thanks for reading! BJ was 3/2 at the $25 table, 6/5 on anything lower. I mostly played on the $10 table. Broke even for the cruise. 😎

Camp Ocean was not open but the gate to the playground was not locked, so Patti was able to go in and take pictures. :classic_cool:

Day # 2  -  Sea Day # 1  -  8/22/21

 

We were up at 7 am to smooth seas and a slightly hazy day. No fun times to post today, but I promise I will get better. Since we are sailing south, and our cabin is on the port side, we get to see the sunrises…..

Patti left the cabin at 8:30 to browse the shops, take some pictures, and then she would be heading to the Morning Show.

 

I left the cabin at 9 and stopped at the Ocean Plaza where there is a small breakfast buffet set up.

 

Patti stopped and checked out the Library Bar……

This morning’s Dreamscape in the Lobby……

I met up with Patti at the Morning Show. We started going to these on our Hawaii cruise a few years ago, and try to make them every sea day morning. It’s a great way to get to know the Cruise Director, Fun Squad, and other crew members…..

Afterwards, I made my way to the casino to play some more blackjack. I played for an hour or so and once again broke even. I have Drinks on Us so I had a few while playing. I befriended a casino bar server named Indra last night, so I never have to wait to get a drink.

 

Patti stayed after the Morning Show for the Fun Aboard / Fun Ashore Show…..

After the Fun Aboard / Fun Ashore talk Patti made her way back to the cabin, taking these pictures along the way. She went up to Deck 6 to check out the Carnival Multiplex. She will be checking out the Imax Theater later on in the review. Here is the ticket lobby and waiting area……

We later met back at the cabin to hang out on our balcony and relax. Patti reported that she didn’t have any luck at bingo.

Around 5:30 we decided that it was time to eat dinner. We have Anytime Dining, so we made a reservation on the Hub App and within 10 minutes our table was ready. We were on the lower level on the Meridian Restaurant, and this was our wait team……

We both started with a Caesar salad and shrimp cocktail…..

We both had two orders of the lobster. They were very small, only about 3 or 4 bites each…..

I also had a flat iron steak. For dessert Patti had the fruit platter…..

After dinner we made our way to the Liquid Lounge for tonight’s show. The Sunny Girls Trio was performing in the Lobby. They are amazing!

Tonight’s show is “Soulbound”. Let me tell you that this is now our favorite Playlist Production show by far, even better than “Celestial Strings”. What a performance both visually and musically. Don’t miss it! We are sorry we didn’t get any pictures because we got there about 15 minutes before show time, and we wound up sitting upstairs in seats without the greatest of views. We’ll be early next time.

 

After the show Patti went back to the cabin to read. I stopped at the Skybox Sports Bar for a couple of beers. I knew Lucian the bartender from our previous cruises on the Pride, and we talked about old times. I hung out there for a couple of hours before calling it a night.

 

Here is tonight’s towel creature and our invites to tomorrow’s Diamond Luncheon…….

Jeff, I hope you and Patti made it though Ida.  I made it out ok.

 

Good to hear Barb! We are on higher ground, so if we ever get flooded it would be a biblical event! Many others in our own and neighboring towns didn't fare so well. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

We were not planning on breakfast this morning since the Diamond Luncheon is at 11:15. Patti left the cabin to browse the shops again and take some pictures. I was going to stay in the cabin for a while longer and work on the pictures, and then meet her in the Liquid Lounge for the Morning Show.

 

Patti heads down to Deck 5 and passes through the Ocean Plaza where they are about to begin the Make it with Michael’s event……
