A great time was had by all. The Captain announced that because of curfews in Aruba we would be arriving and leaving an hour and a half earlier than scheduled. All Carnival excursion times would be adjusted as needed. This would not affect our plans at all.

As we were leaving Patti spotted a duck!

We made our way up to the Red Frog Rum Bar for a drink, and then headed to the Liquid Lounge for win a cruise bingo. We had no luck.

Afterwards, Patti went back to the cabin and I went to the casino to play blackjack for a couple of hours. This time I won a couple hundred, and Indra kept bringing me drinks!

Patti got these pictures on Circle “C” and the Warehouse Arcade which are on Deck 6 forward on her way back to the cabin…..

After dinner Patti went back to the cabin to watch a movie, and I went to the Punchliner Comedy Club to watch Joe Marlotti’s show. It was pretty good.

Afterwards I went next door to the Skybox Sports Bar to hang out with Lucian and have a few beers before calling it a night. Here is tonight’s towel creature…..

Does this mean that you can have 2 of each category for the two of you?  The food looks really good. I am looking forward to trying it in a few weeks…have heard so many good things about Jiji’s

It's one of each category for each of you. I requested a second appetizer for me which they gave me. :classic_cool:

Good to hear Barb! We are on higher ground, so if we ever get flooded it would be a biblical event! Many others in our own and neighboring towns didn't fare so well. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

We both know which towns get hit hard with the flooding. 😱

Day # 4 - Aruba  (7:30 am - 9:30 pm) - 8/24/21

We were up at 7am just as we were docking in Aruba, and it was pouring rain! Sorry, but no “Fun Times” again today. Here are a few views from our balcony…..

IMG_2968-X2.jpg

Anyway, let’s talk about our plans for the day. When here, we normally book an all inclusive day pass at the Barcelo Aruba, but due to covid they are not booking day passes. We also tried to book the Riu with the same results. During our online search we found one property that would book a day pass, the fairly new Radisson Blue. It was not all inclusive, so we would have to pay for our food and drinks, but the cost to enjoy the facilities was just $25 per person. The other kicker was that the property was a block from the beach, but they had a shuttle that ran back and forth all day long. They boasted of having a rooftop infinity pool, so we decided to book and check this place out. We just needed it to stop raining.

While we were waiting to decide whether to go or not we went up to the Lido Marketplace for breakfast. Here is the omelet station and some of the buffet offerings…..
