Hey, it worked…ok…

left port Canaveral area at 7:30 this morning and was on ship by 10:40 with an 11-11:30 boarding time.

10:30 announcements began, boarding shortly thereafter and we were B7 and that was about 10 minutes.

more to come. Have to sort it out

So, as I said, was here and onboard fast!

When you arrive and enter the door, there’s a person who checks all your stuff….vax card, COVID test and boarding pass, she scans it all, stamps your boarding pass and away you go.

Once in bullpen you wait as usual and none of that changed

once called, you go up an escalator and they do facial recognition and then you walk on

Some things are closed before sailing like the sky ride and rope thing

i got logged into the WiFi, have premium and as I type this I am streaming Spectrum’s video stream app of TV while web surfing and typing this.

My cellular data is OFF and on Horizon WiFi only.

The Hub app is odd. Not the simplest.

One flaw the CCL people need to look into is the direct addition of personal meet ups or appointments. You can’t manually add “Meet Marge at the barge at 9” and have it go into app calendar.

logging into the WiFi wasn’t that hard, but could be easier if they put that at the top of the page instead of the very bottom.

Every half hour they do the muster drill call and at 3:30 Donkey went to the total overhead, including in cabins, and was pretty insistent on it.

the in room tv blows….it is REALLY BAD unless you like kids stuff, taped old news, paranormal junk or house flipping.

For the record and up front, plan for wifey-poo and I is to basically chill this cruise. No excursions, no hustle and hassle.

Wifi is being a pig, probably because everyone is on it.

Some computer system onboard went kaput briefly, allowing no one to enter folio numbers. It was resolved quickly.

Casino is hopping as apparently this is an Ultra Casino Cruise. For the record, even though I am here on a casino offer, it’s not part of the ultra cruise and I cannot be added after. Oh well. Some of these folks make me look weak. By the way, night 1 craps was $5…I also believe it’s 2x3x5x

If you’ve ever sailed out of Miami and were portside, you may have seen this

This is the ferry to Fisher Island, the richest most expensive zip code in America. Only way there is by boat.

no matter how much money you have, it’s not enough to live there.

Note to self (and you readers): Google Chrome on an iPad HATES this website….OMFG!

wifi has been wildly mixed, but mostly poor for anything more than social web surfing.

Did figure out one weird trick, there is a streaming app with a name like a plant and it is so lo-fi it can actually stream stuff. Can’t walk and chew gum to well, but light web surfing and streaming works as long as no photos.

Speaking of which, photos will come in a bit, I’m comfy here and the signal is weak here.

Found a place on deck 14…where my cabin is. Go forward all the way and turn corner there’s a door. It leads into back of spa. There’s a glass door and a steel door behind it that leads to a small balcony that LITERALLY is over the navigation deck.

couple wicker couches and matching table and no one but me.

like my own semi private 25x20 foot balcony (stay away….lol)

This was awesome.

At last nights dinner in MDR, they brought the usual assortment of bread and these accompaniments.

Usual olive oil w a little balsamic, butter and then what I swear was simply bacon grease and bitties and it was sooooo good.
