We were one of the first in the cancellation que when covid started...we waited 6 months to get all of our  $13k  back...after 59 days we started the process to dispute the charges with Visa...it was done in 4 chunks.  Cruise fare, excursions, EZAir, and deposit.   Visa ended up refunding our cruise fare and EZAir, and Princess refunded our excursions and deposit.  Originally we disputed everything, but in the middle of the dispute Princess refunded the excursions and deposit, so we just called Visa and they modified our claim.   We gave not been banded from Princess, nor have any of our friends who followed the same credit card dispute process.  FYI...credit cards disputes require documentation!

We just cancelled ours last week,  final payment was due this week and we had the down payment back on the credit card in 2 days.  We were surprised to say the least!

They definitely react quicker when a guest cancels.  If they cancel, they tend not to process the refunds until after the date by which you need to tell them the option you've chosen.  For us that will be in a little over a week.  I was hoping they changed their procedures as the cruise Princess cancelled disappeared from the Personalizer and Medallion app late last week and that's usually a sign that they have completed processing the option selected (refund in our case).  But nothing yet.

Good to know, thanks!

Same here for us.  We had $1,600 deposit on two legs on cancelled South America cruise on the Diamond.  It no longer shows on our Personalizer or Medallion app, hopefully shows up on our Amex soon!

Our's is also on the Diamond.  It was a "free" casino cruise that we paid a fee to upgrade from the cabin offered.  We also paid in full for EZair, PVP, and an excursion.  So we have quite a lot coming back, more than the current balance of our credit card!

We were on the December 1, 2021 Antarctic cruise that was cancelled.  We received the FCC for the cruise last week but haven't seen the refund for airfare and taxes.  When I think about the thousands of refunds they have to process with each being a little different, I can see why it takes longer to process all of them.

We received a credit to our credit card yesterday.  It must have been in process when I posted my last comment.

Our refund from Antarctica posted today too. It showed a process date of September 23 but appeared today. They processed it a week before the date they asked us to select an option by and it’s been just about a month since they canceled it.
