Itinerary change notifications

Can anyone tell me roughly how many days before your cruise that you were informed of itinerary changes? We cruise in December and know that some of our ports are closed.  I’m an over planner, and we want to get excited about our excursions that we can’t book because we know we are not going on the cruise that’s showing.

I think it varies widely.  My late August cruse probably changed ports in early July just as the restart was happening. My November cruise just announced a port change.  I think it has to do with whether the cruise line KNOWS a particular port will be closed (such as Grand Cayman).

 

As to excursions, we normally book privately.  Not right now.  There's simply too much uncertainty so I want to be able to handle all that via Carnival.

One of ours is Grand Cayman too.

Our December cruise has a stop at Grand Cayman which is still showing even though the entire world knows that it's not going to happen.  Haven't heard a peep from Carnival about that yet.

We were notified about a month and a half ago about our itinerary change for our Oct 17th cruise in the Glory.

Don't expect notification.  I found out mine changed when I logged into my cruise manager.

We got an email about 45 days out that Bonnaire was replaced with Curacao for our OCt cruise......we planned the hoping this would happen!!!

We got a guest operaqtions update email about 2 months before our Nov. 7th cruise. Checked my booking and saw all destinations changed. They gave us 14 days to rebook with no penalty.

I thought the Glory was in New Orleans housing the hurricane victims but not 100% sure this is accurate.

Glory sailed yesterday. First cruise since the start of covid to leave New Orleans.

According to Marine Global Traffic.com, Glory is on her way to Bimini.

The Glory is back cruising. First sailing was yesterday.
