Astro Flyer Posted September 28, 2021 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2021 Here are views from E436 on Royal Princess and the balcony for E424 is the same shape. Looking outward there are no obstructions & when looking straight down you’ll see the open Promenade deck.

herr40 Posted September 29, 2021 #6 Share Posted September 29, 2021 A little off topic here, but if we find we have a cabin that is not "optimal", does Princess have a similar program as RCL or Celebrity? Has any one had experience in upgrading and how to "bid" on a Princess upgrade? Would love to hear tips and tricks.

Celestial Navigator Posted September 30, 2021 #8 Share Posted September 30, 2021 Have looked extensively on the cabin reviews and elsewhere on the Princess boards to find reviews of M716 on the Regal. Has anyone sailed in this cabin? Can anyone tell me if this cabin has a covered balcony, has soot problems or is visible from an upper deck. Any help would be much appreciated. thank you so much,

On that site there are 4 pictures of E425 which is on the starboard side and have the same obstructions as E424. Theo

Sometimes the ships port and starboard side are not identical which is important in specific cases. If you look at the Deck Plan on the Princess Cruises website and look ay E424 on the Emerald Deck and mark the screen then switch to Promenade Deck it shows no lifeboats or tenders are in the area. I think sometimes the cruise line classifies all the cabins as "Obstructed View" rather than try to identify a few which are effectively clear of obstructions.
