Maryscooking Posted September 30, 2021 Author #51 Share Posted September 30, 2021 Late night comedy thoughts. First of all if you haven't been to a late night adult show, understand that nothing is off limits. You'll hear all the dirty words and jokes about taboo subjects. My opinion is that it is harder for comedians to get laughs with the adult stuff. I prepped for the show with a double jack and coke. Why aren't the holes in the arm rests big enough to hold the barware anyway? Louis Johnson, the first comedian was funny. He generally got a good response from the crowd. Mike Pace was not as successful. He had more than a few couples leaving in the middle of his set. I would not walk out on a comedian, but I do understand why people might have done so this time. I think you are going to attempt jokes about child sex abuse, you are taking a risk on pushing people too far. I did appreciate his joke about sending menopausal women to fight the Taliban. I wouldn't see him again though. But different strokes for different folks.
Maryscooking Posted October 3, 2021 Author #52 Share Posted October 3, 2021 (edited) Last Day 2 post - The one where we figure out the slots. So my husband and I really aren't gamblers. And Michelle is VERY conservative with her money. But we got it in our heads that we should play the slots. This is harder than it looks!!! First, how to pick a machine? By the numbers at the top? By the graphics? By how interactive it looks? Definitely not if we could smell a smoker near it! Once we settled on one, we realized we had no idea how to start playing 🤣. So we had to go ask the cashier, a d I'm guessing it might be a common question, since she had little pre-printed slips of paper with instructions! Back to the slots we went, then realized the amount you are betting is a math equation! For example, you have to choose a coin or bill to bet: pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters etc. But that isn't really your bet! THEN you need to choose your credits, and multiply it! Once we started playing (with our initial $20 commitments lol), it was obvious we had no idea of all the game rules, and what spin results cause payouts. Despite that, I did win a little. This was mostly after I increased the credits per spin (which Michelle HATED because the money disappeared faster 🤣). This was big excitement at our little row of slots! Even better! I spent $60, and ended up with a $158 cash voucher. I am not sure Michelle spent more than her first $20. I felt like being $100 ahead was pretty fancy 🤣, so we called it a night. A few casino notes: - This is where the smokers go apparently. - I might have stayed longer if we weren't getting headaches from the smell. - This hour was the only time on the whole cruise where we weren't asked multiple times if we wanted drinks. - Gambling is fun... when you win! Day 3 next! Edited October 3, 2021 by Maryscooking Spelling
alexgtp Posted October 5, 2021 #53 Share Posted October 5, 2021 Wife and I were on the same sailing. Amazing to only have 1100 ppl on board. Also washy washy woman and her Minny Mouse ears was too funny. Did you get to enjoy any specialty dining? Those places were also super empty. We were able to catch the Once upon a time show and Ice show. Both pretty decent. Going thru my memory rolodex too see if I recognize you 2..LOL , When I cruise I rarely ever see the same ppl twice, this trip I saw a lot of ppl a lot of time's!~ Most of them at the same bars we frequented. Loving the review bringing back memories.

Rare chrismch Posted October 8, 2021 #57 Share Posted October 8, 2021 Some of the pics show you in masks and others without one. What was the requirement for wearing masks? Were they required in all public areas except if you were eating or drinking?
