I once heard, but i don’t recall where, that the same is true on airlines. You’re buying passage, not the particular seat. Certainly true on airlines, especially due to aircraft changes, flight number changes, etc. I have never had my cabin changed by any cruise company, but my airline seats changes are frequent.
