Room service

Is room service currently contactless? If so, does the delivery person generally take off immediately upon knocking, or would one still be able to tip them?

 

I have visions of my husband chasing someone down the hall in his pajamas while waving a handful of ones...

Not contactless.  They brought our trays in the room same as always.

I always got the impression (pre Covid) that they preferred to have the tip placed on the $0 ticket you had to sign. They always took the cash but looked at me like I was an old fool.

Ah, ok. I think it's contactless on Royal, which is the next one I have booked. I'm getting confused.

 

@mexicobob we always use cash and I've never had anyone be anything but gracious (and grateful).

It was not contactless on the Miracle.  The delivery person brought the tray into my cabin and happily accepted the cash tip I gave him.

Ha ha! Yeah, cash ALWAYS works. I use cash and sail and sign (primarily cash on room service though) and the reaction to both is the same- gratitude.
