willift Posted October 5, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2021 Thought I'd post this info as a reference for what your might expect. Things change on river cruises but this was the daily activities most recently

ericosmith Posted October 6, 2021 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2021 Never seen a menu for Express Dinner before. How does that relate to the regular menu?

willift Posted October 6, 2021 Author #6 Share Posted October 6, 2021 EXPRESS Dinner ??? Must tell you I really didn't even notice that Title. That was a picture of the Menu from up on the Front Porch, it would have been some of the same items served in the Main Dining Room but not everything from the MDR. That was Day2 and the last time they served up there
ericosmith Posted October 7, 2021 #7 Share Posted October 7, 2021 Thanks, that would explain it. I don't recall there being a menu for the Front Porch when we cruised but I'm not sure we ever had dinner there either.

For our cruise, the Express Menu was the list of dishes available from the buffet line in the Main Dining Room. You could get up at breakfast and lunch and serve yourself if you didn’t want to order from your server. Front Porch May have been the same, but we didn’t use it much. Rare uktog Posted October 7, 2021 #9 Share Posted October 7, 2021 These were helpful in managing our expectations. One thing we are on late dining (by choice). We knew our shows would be before dinner and expected something like 1900. We see we need to be changed by 1815 😱😱. Is that normal or just something happening at the moment? Are people actually being served in the dining room on your cruise? Some people have posted they only get buffet food. How is the cruise co pared to the last one? midwestchick Posted October 8, 2021 #12 Share Posted October 8, 2021 Ahhhhh….forgot your dates. Again, I’ll ask was the food as bad as what was posted? Someone said they only served buffets. What was your take? I also read some negative things on social media.
