Long Beach Port Question

Hello,

We have a family reunion cruise Nov 4th out of Long Beach.

We live in CA but have never cruised out of Los Angeles before.

I'm sure our check in times will be staggered...but we are all arriving together in a large van.

Question:

Is there a place at the port area where we can all arrive and hang out until it is our time to board? Like a restaurant, park etc.

Someplace within walking distance to the pier?

Thanks!

The port area is fairly industrial... Harry Bridges Memorial Park is only a few hundred yards away... really just a large grassy area. I believe that the only restaurants that you would find are the ones inside the couple of hotels near that area.

There are benches with shade just outside the terminal entrance. Not much else around.

Have you looked at the area on Google Maps (click the link)?

Harry Bridges Park is walking distance (half mile), but I don't know where you would hang out there.

The restaurant at the Hotel Maya might work, it is a much longer walk. I don't know if Hotel Maya still has their cruise shuttle or if they do, if you'd be able to use it.
