Sunshine3601 Posted October 11, 2021 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2021 Yes but their fridges dont get all that cold. I had a friend that needed to keep her insulin refrigerated and they would bring her a mini cooler that plugs into outlet and she would keep it under the desk. If you need something like that call royal and request one ahead of arrival. This goes for all ships.

TheBucketLister Posted October 11, 2021 #4 Share Posted October 11, 2021 (edited) I had both a balcony and an inside room on Freedom OTS and both fridges couldn’t even keep a small bottle of water that was just purchased and pulled from their cooler, cold overnight until the following morning. Definitely contact Royal at the adress above to make arrangements for your medications that need to be refrigerated. newmercies Posted October 11, 2021 #5 Share Posted October 11, 2021 Another trick to these coolers (not really refrigerators) is to keep a full ice bucket inside the cooler. I don't know how it works but it does help to keep sodas cooler. When Royal has forgotten to provide the medical refrigeration I was able to use the ice bucket in the cooler trick to keep the medication cold. Caveat... I use autologous eye serum eye drops where the ice bucket will work. I wouldn't know about other medications like insulin and strongly you email the special needs group.
piercetc4 Posted October 11, 2021 #6 Share Posted October 11, 2021 there are mini fridges in the cabins- they dont get that cold tho- we usually bring a collapsible cooler with us for drinks and etc....
smokeybandit Posted October 11, 2021 #7 Share Posted October 11, 2021 (edited) They're "coolers" not fridges. Probably keeps things around 50 degrees instead of a typical 38. Edited October 11, 2021 by smokeybandit
