Hey My wife and I are planning to go on cruise with our 2 Year Old son who is not eligible to get vaccination. I see there are number of restrictions like Families with unvaccinated guest are only allowed to go on port with Royal Caribbean shore excursions or drop off their kids at the day care center on board. Anybody recently have such experience with this?

Appreciate your insight

Each port has different restrictions.  In Nassau, unvaccinated people could not get off the ship so if parents wanted to, they would need to check the kids into Adventure Ocean.  At CocoCay, everyone could get off no matter what.  Those were the only two ports we visited last weekend, if you are going to different ports, you will need to find out what each ports rules are.

I read about the Nassau and Coco cay as well. We are visiting Grand cayman and Cozumel and they are not allowing unvaccinated guest off board (unless you book a shore excursion with them). I read about the nursery, hopefully we can use it or else one of us can go on shore while other one stay and enjoy on board.

Were there any other restriction with unvaccinated Kids like they cant go in some venue or attend entertainment or game show?

Also do you know if vaccinated guest need to take any COVID test before de-embarkation?

The vaccinated areas were the casino and the solarium.  Places where kids aren't allowed anyway.  There were certain shows that were only for the vaccinated, but there were some that were for everyone.

As far as the nursery, I am not sure how that will work as my daughter is 9.  What I can tell you is to go to Adventure Ocean as soon as possible and sign up.  Then you will have first choice of time slots.  They allow you to choose one time (morning or evening) per day, but say that you can check on other times and see if they have room.  That is for the older kids though, not sure about littles.

Vaccinated guests do not need to take tests on debarkation as far as I know.

Since young kids CAN'T (and probably shouldn't) be vaccinated, there really should be no restrictions, if you have common sense!

I second that but apparently rules says they need to. Breaks our heart that our boy won’t get to enjoy beaches in carribean

You just need to book with the ship excursions as opposed to venturing off on your own. Still doable!
