Checked in and out on food need something g to eat before I drink too much but I couldn’t resist…

The signal in there was not up to scratch!!! I sat through a few beer there and decided to wonder down looking for some food. My go to wasn’t seating anyone right now, 45 minute wait, so I went to my back up.. I’m at old Nola cookery for bite. 
 

this will be the first “food” I’ve had since lunch! I didn’t realize I was hungry I got so caught up in the game! 

 

we going with the taste of New Orleans tonight.. seafood gumbo crawfish etouffe, and red beans n rice with some andouille sausage. Hope it’s as good as I remember!

As always I am blown away by the food in the city.. the care taken in the prep, the fresh ingredients.. you can taste the freshness from the seafood to the veggies. This place still is in the top 10!

The walk back to the hotel was quiet and peaceful.. there is just something about the sounds and how welcoming the people are here.. it just feels like home! I know things will pick up once restrictions lift and it will back to party central but it is still one of my favorite cities!

I think I’m going to call it a night.. full belly, a few drinks, and some good music I call that a win and a good start to this vacation!! 
 

Tomorrow when I get moving we gonna see what we can get into.. definitely want to do some exploring in the daylight and see what’s the same and what has changed since my last trip. Until tomorrow!

morning everyone!!! I was just excited to sleep in. That and o heard a few sirens early this morning.😂🤣😂

 

Headed out on foot for a walk about and breakfast. Then plan what I want to do today… do I want to hit everything today? save some for the time killing I will need on the Monday I return, as I have a late flight? Decisions decisions!!!

The city was slowly starting to come to life when I woke up this morning. The weather is gorgeous. A crisp fall morning and going to warm up nicely and be a very comfortable day!

Dang!!! I’m early… this was where I had kicked out for lunch… This is a New Orleans institution!! Opened in 1938 they fed everyone, and their sandwiches and poboys are some of the best in the city…

 

debating on hanging out and getting in before the line goes around the building!!! @sid_9169 this place is a must try!!

I know it’s early to be eating lunch… but if you don’t get to this place you will wait in line for a table forever. When walked in there were only 2 or 3 tables open and 6 people in front of me. 
 

I placed my order and snagged a table and the line is already out the door!!!
